Stree Vigyan and the role of panchakarma in female reproductive health
Runa Akter
Stree Vigyan, the science of women’s health in Ayurveda, emphasizes the holistic balance of body, mind, and spirit in maintaining female reproductive health. Panchakarma, a cornerstone of Ayurvedic therapy, plays a pivotal role in addressing various reproductive issues in women. This paper explores the significance of Stree Vigyan, the principles underlying female reproductive health, and how Panchakarma therapies-such as Vamana, Virechana, Basti, Nasya, and Raktamokshana-contribute to reproductive wellness. By examining the relevance of these therapies in managing conditions like infertility, menstrual disorders, and hormonal imbalances, the paper underscores the importance of integrating traditional healing methods with modern health practices for a comprehensive approach to female reproductive care.
